About OsterCraft Homes

November 1974 – Gary Osterholm, my dad, started building homes in the Portland Metro area. He did so with an unerring eye for detail and perfection. Working with a few select craftsmen, the senior Osterholm built nearly every home from scratch, right down to the kitchen cabinets. This was common practice for a number of years, until he reached the point where he had grown enough to take the business to the next level.

As for me, I guess you could say I grew up on a job site. I spent the summers, and weekends tagging along with my dad. I wanted to learn from him, I wanted to see what he saw and in 1994 I had seen enough to know that I wanted to join the family business that he an my mother had created.

Since then OsterCraft Homes has continued to grow and now we are one of the oldest and more successful building companies in Portland and we are still family-owned and operated. We have an amazing team of designers and contractors that we work with everyday.

If you ask me it’s our company’s decades-old practice of imbuing quality into the construction process and our relationships with our customers that sets our company apart from other local builders.
